The Best Value for Golf in Jackson, MS. Live Oaks Golf Club is an 18-hole, semi-private course designed by John F. Stahl and opened in 1969. The par 72 course sits on 130 acres, and the 200 year old live oak trees provide the setting for the best value for golf in the Jackson Metro area. The club offers a practice area with a chipping green and a putting green, in addition to hitting bays. Roosevelt's Resturaunt: Dine in, takeout, or cater with them at Roosevelt’s Restaurant, located in the clubhouse. The grill menu is available Tuesday – Saturday from 10am – 5pm, breakfast on Saturdays only from 7am – 11am, and the Sunday plate lunch and kids menu are available from 10am – 5pm. The venue includes an 1,500 sq ft open formal pavilion, outdoor ceremony area and a 10,000 sq ft event hall that hosts a bold 725 capacity space.
