Overview

Company Overview:

Franklin Barbecue started in 2009 when founder Aaron Franklin launched his restaurant in a trailer.  It was an immediate hit and has sold out of food every day they have been open! On their website, they say open 11:00 am until sold out.  The founder Aaron Franklin is widely regarded as one of the most influential pitmasters in the U.S. He received the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Southwest in 2015. Popular and critically lauded restaurant, Franklin Barbecue, was awarded Texas Monthly’s coveted Best Barbecue Joint in Texas, and Bon Appetit’s Best Barbecue Joint in America.

Seating

Indoor and outdoor covered seating.

What To Expect:

Get there early! People will start lining up outside of this place by 7:00 am, and they’ve been known to sell out of meat by noon. But it’s 100% worth the wait. It will be hard for you to find meat that has been so perfectly smoked as it has from here. Franklin barbecue will invade your mouth with unforgettable flavors. Also you can expect to see the owner, Aaron Franklin, the guy slicing your brisket at the counter.  Aaron Franklin, the owner, and notice how he manages to remain friendly and chipper despite the fact that he woke up at 3 am to man the smoker, just so you can feed your fat face with BBQ. Bring a book and be glad you’re not a vegetarian.

Certified Google Review

The best BBQ I have ever had, and I worked in a BBQ restaurant for years. The rub was so flavorful, the meat was so tender and juicy. The sides of beans and potato salad were delicious. Price wise, it is completely fair! Good BBQ costs money, and this place does not disappoint. I eaten here 4 times and I tried everything and it's all 100% top notch BBQ on a level you have to try for yourself - Bruce Alan
