Visit Austin Club elegant and spacious Ballroom in the historic Millett Opera House. Their seasoned & accommodating staff has hosted impeccable wedding receptions since 1949. Their central location is convenient to all downtown churches. Please schedule a tour of their beautiful facility and various amenities. The Austin Club will no longer be providing complimentary/validated parking in the garage next door. They apologize for any inconvenience. Austin’s oldest private dining club provides an excellent combination of history and contemporary comfort. Experience the refined hospitality that only a private establishment can provide, in the incomparable setting of The Austin Club. Located in the Millet Opera House in downtown Austin, 2 blocks south of the Capitol, The Austin Club is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a recorded Texas Historic Landmark. Our membership includes many of Texas' leaders and most influential professionals.

The Austin Club’s central location is only one block from St. Mary’s Cathedral, First Baptist Church, St. David’s Episcopal Church and Central Presbyterian Church.  Since 1949, The Austin Club’s seasoned and accommodating staff has handled wedding celebrations for generations of families.  They would be more than pleased to give you a tour of the facility and to review their various food and beverage menu selections with you. Here you will find sample food and beverage menus, a question and answer sheet, prices and additional information to help you in the planning of your wedding.

The Club, and its membership, has grown with the city. Two generations of staff and members have benefited from the club’s timeless standard of elegance and hospitality. clubhistoryThe Millett Opera House, at 110 East Ninth Street, has been the home of The Austin Club since 1981. Built by city father Captain Charles F. Millett in 1878, the building was designed by leading architect Frederick E. Ruffini. When completed, the opera house was second in size and grandeur only to the Galveston Opera House. It had 800 moveable seats, balcony, private boxes and an exquisite hand-painted ceiling, a portion of which now hangs in the club’s House Conference Room.
