If you have not been kayaking in Austin, Texas, then you are missing out on some beautiful crystal blue spring water and the largest bat colony in the U.S. We also offer you paddle boarding in Austin, with rentals and tours available.
Join us as we tour the natural beauty of Lady Bird Lake/Town Lake in Texas by kayak. You are guided in a sit-on-top kayak for approximately two hours to one of our handpicked Austin tour locations on Lady Bird Lake or the San Marcos River. Kayak and Paddle Board Rentals
The best way to experience Austin is from the water. If you’re ready for a day of kayaking or paddleboarding, come on out to rent a kayak or board on Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake) in Austin, Texas. We have the best gear to ensure you have a great day on the water.
Required to Rent Equipment:
- A photo ID
- A credit card
- A signed waiver. All participants must sign a waiver, and minors (under the age of 18) must have a guardian sign for them.
Tips:
- Please leave your valuables at home or in your vehicle. We can hold your keys while you are on the water.
- Drink water.
- Use sunscreen.
- Small dry bags are available for purchase for $15 (get two for $20), or you can rent them for $5.
- Alcohol is prohibited on Lady Bird Lake by ordinance.
Paddle Board Lessons
Have you been wanting to learn how to paddleboard? Take a brief lesson with us and enjoy some paddling time on the lake! In addition to learning this fun and peaceful activity, you get to experience the beautiful scenery and wildlife that can be found on Lady Bird Lake.
We offer a wonderful 30-minute paddleboard lesson, giving you all the fundamentals and making sure you feel confident on the water, and then let you enjoy an hour and a half to practice at your own pace. The peaceful waters of Lady Bird Lake and the beautiful views of the city make the perfect backdrop for your day of paddling.
Stand up paddleboarding is the first step to learning how to surf, so come get in some practice.
