Event overview

What this event is about

Space has long inspired us to see our world differently. But what if that same perspective could help us better see one another? The Gravity of Kindness, a Best Day Ever Foundation film, follows the real stories of Austinites and others across the country whose lives are transformed through unexpected acts of kindness—including an Austin family working to keep their restaurant alive, an 11-year-old girl whose own experience of kindness inspires her to give back, and community members overcoming extraordinary personal challenges. Narrated by Hall-of-Fame NASA astronaut Joe Tanner and directed by Rhett Brennan with Sunday Studios, this heartfelt, uplifting, and deeply human short film reveals what happens when people choose to show up for one another—and discover they're not as alone as they thought. Along the way, assumptions are challenged, perspectives shift, and lives intersect in ways no one could have predicted. Each screening will be followed by a live panel and Q&A featuring Director Rhett Brennan, Best Day Ever Foundation Founder and CEO Matt Worthington, and several individuals whose stories are featured in the film. Tickets may be purchased for either screening (6:05 P.M. or 8:30 P.M.) at thebestdayever.org/premiere.
