Indie Meme Film Festival

The 11th Indie Meme Film Festival returns to Austin this spring for five days of bold, independent cinema from South Asia, Iran, and the diaspora. IMFF is the premier showcase in Texas for South Asian independent filmmaking. The 2026 program features an acclaimed selection of narrative features, documentary features, and short films, spanning a wide range of languages, countries, and perspectives. Films in this year's lineup have screened at festivals including Cannes, Venice, Toronto, and more. Beyond screenings, IMFF 2026 offers filmmaker Q&As, mixers, and special events that bring Austin audiences face-to-face with the artists behind the films. All films are presented with English subtitles, making the entire festival accessible to a wide and diverse audience.
