SUMMARY:TIME: A Photography Exhibition by Negative Space | Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Bolm Arts presents TIME\, the debut group exhibition from Negative Space\, an Austin photography collective based at Bolm Studios in East Austin. Five photographers. Five processes. One subject: time. Derrick Wansom\, Robin John Winter\, Karen Stone\, Angel De Jesus Huerta\, and Marie Ketring each come at it differently\, through digital\, film\, Polaroid\, silver gelatin\, and alternative print. The work moves across aging\, memory\, abandonment\, ecological anxiety\, and the way a single moment can stretch or collapse depending on who is doing the looking. Also featured is Keep Looking Publishing\, the Austin imprint of Angela Mathews and Chris Barias\, working at the intersection of photography\, fashion\, and publishing. Come through for the opening on June 19th\, 6 to 10 PM. The show runs through July 17th with a closing reception that evening from 6 to 8 PM.
