SUMMARY:Hot Summer Nights
DESCRIPTION:Hot Summer Nights is back for another year to curate a three-day weekend filled with admission-free concerts for fans\, taking place across ten iconic live music venues housed within the RRCD and Downtown Austin. Founded in 2017 as the RRCD’s first official district-wide event\, Hot Summer Nights was originally created in an effort to provide additional revenue to district members\, as well as local musicians and staff during the traditionally slower summer months. As a compliment to the District’s other annual festival held each January just after the New Year &#8211\; Free Week &#8211\; Hot Summer Nights has grown into one of the most popular summer events in the “Live Music Capital of the World”\, while playing host to tens of thousands of attendees and ultimately providing a significant and positive economic impact in Austin music\, service\, and hospitality communities. The 2026 lineup is set to feature 130+ local artists\, bands and DJs including Blakchyl\, Cody Brandell\, Creeping Death\, Glass Mansions\, Heavy Velvet. Imminent End\, Keepsake\, Kylie Hernandez\, Magic Rockers of Texas\, Parker Woodland\, Ritual\, Saint Judas & The Black Hymns\, Subpar Snatch\, Two-Legged Dog\, Whisk and many more. New for 2026\, catch a special Hot Summer Afternoon featuring a brass quintet of professional local musicians from the Austin Symphony Orchestra performing to readings of the children's book "How Do Dinosaurs Go To School"\, which will be presented in both English (1 pm) and Spanish (12:30 pm).
