SUMMARY:Clay Handbuilding Night with Emily Hohertz
DESCRIPTION:Make anything from a planter to a figurine using the provided crash-course in hand-sculpting with clay. You'll learn the 3 main techniques of hand-building: coils\, slab\, and pinching to create the perfect piece to cherish forever\, gift to a friend\, or leave in a random corner of your neighborhood for a stranger to find. This is a multi-day craft in order to finish your sculpture\, however CANNOT be completed in a weekend. The Friday evening of the event will be for sculpting only. Once finished we will let them dry slowly over a few days and then the pieces will be fired in our kiln. After they are unloaded you will be contacted for glazing your piece on your own time using our walk-in pottery glazing hours(included in the price)\, then we'll fire your piece again and contact for final pick up. If you don't come back for your pieces in a timely manner your pieces may be rehomed or repurposed.
