Last year's festival was headlined by legendary author Walter Mosley. In addition to Mosley\, in conversation with publisher Paul Coates\, the festival also featured Dr. Peniel Joseph\, novelist Marita Golden (leading the new Write On! Workshop)\, and children’s author Alice Faye Duncan in the Kids Zone.
